This handmade piece need someone to appreciate it!
Semi-fitted bodice with a v-neck that has a pleat strip that carries down to the waist line.
5 matching buttons (please note, one missing).
Short, lined puffball sleeves.
Elasticated waistline into an a-skirt.
There is no fabric composition label but it feels like polyester.
This is a handmade piece but I believe it is a modern reproduction using modern fabric.
No size label but I recommend for a 14. May also suit a bigger busted 10 or 12.
Bust- 38". Waist- 28-32". Hips- Free.
Length from underarm- 35".
Preloved and in need of attention-
One button is missing. The top button could be moved down, or the bottom button moved up and that space then stitched. The most effort-heavy option is to unstitch the hem, use the excess to recover another button and re-hem. Alternatively, they could all be replaced with different buttons.
The underarms have been strained causing damage to the stitching and the fabric. I have pictured both. Although currently wearable, I would advise that a repair should be prioritised before the damage extends.
