True vintage beauty! No labels or zip so I've struggled to age it but it has a 40's, 50's look though it is more likely to be 70's.
Black blue, light blue and white floral print.
Collared bodice with three white buttons and an elasticated waist.
Skirt has an inverted central pleat to the front and back. Large front pockets!
Matching fabric waist tie belt.
I recommend for a size 22. Pictured on a 16/18 mannequin and may suit a 20 too.
Bust- 46". Waist- 40" to 46". Hips- Free.
Length from underarm- 34.5".
Preloved but in good condition for the age. I have pictured all flaws.
I have made a repair to a small hole in the armpit.
There is a small light brown mark to one pocket.
On the top back panel there is two small caught threads.
On the hem of the skirt, at the centre back, there is colour loss which looks like bleach marking. This could be easily resolved by shortening the dress (it is a generous length skirt and the mark is thin and along the very edge).
I feel this dress was handmade, with great skill, and that the belt and it's loops was added later. The loops are fully external and the belt is made in sections with a less attention to detail.
